Rococo Compassion

Details

  • An écorché is a figure rendered without skin to show the structure of the muscles and bones. It is a traditional way of studying and practicing anatomy, especially for artists. I created this while I was at a workshop at the Florence Academy of Art in 2023.

  • 16” w x 29.5” h x 16” d - (base is 16” x 16”)

  • oil clay, wire and metal armature, wooden base painted black
