Sitting with Distractions

Details

  • This piece is about self-care and the desire to do more of less. I aspire to sit down. To be bored. In a culture that praises overworking, I want to learn how to succeed while still taking care of my needs. I am frustrated with my inability to slow down and just exist.

I turn to nature for inspiration - mountains are built with time and stubbornly hold true to their values. that does not mean they are unchanging; mountains are weathered by every storm, and influenced b the formations around them. Each passing age adds another layer of experience, and it is these collected experiences that make each of us unique.
