The strength depicted in this piece is dedication, and in this case to a community. The deity holding up this bridge has committed to supporting the safety, industry, and wellbeing of the people that raised them. They do not clock out, they do not rest, they cannot even stand for they have become the brick, metal, and wood of the purpose they serve. This is not resignation as with Atlas, nor a punishment for a failure; they chose this role, and embody the power necessary to fulfill it.
